FanDuel lineup for 10/9/16

Hi folks, we've been having more success on FanDuel than DraftKings these days, so for this week we are just going to put in a GPP lineup there. Remember, if you have any questions related to DFS, our team of experts can help you construct a winning lineup. Sign up today! Now, on to our (hopeful) money-making lineup... This time around, we are entering the $75K NFL Spike (Single Entry) for $5. Just under 18,000 and with it single-entry, we feel that one good and really "differentiated" lineup could hit big.

Defense: As always, we like to find a value pick here to start out. If we have leftover funds at the end, we can always come back and "value engineer" our lineup. While total yards per game does not directly translate into fantasy production, we like that Baltimore ($4,400) is leading the NFL in yards given up per game. Their Week 5 opponents, the Redskins, often have trouble moving the ball. The run game is often stagnant and Kirk Cousins is a risk-taker throwing the ball. They have taken opposing TEs out of the game (sorry, Jordan Reed owners) and with him locked down, Cousins will need to force the ball to smaller WRs that can be overpowered by the Raven DBs. Seems like a solid value here.

Kicker: Same thing here, scroll to the bottom, as they're generally all the same. Gotta love it when our top kicker, Mason Crosby, is among the cheapest at $4,500. Nothing to say here other than the Sunday night game should see plenty of scoring and Crosby will have multiple FG chances.

Running Back: With FanDuel only 0.5 PPR, the RB pool is a little more shallow. The FD app is showing us we have $7,300 per player to spend, so we'd like to stay as close to that as possible. Guys like Demarco Murray are way too expensive ($8,400). Instead of spending that much, we will take Todd Gurley ($7,600) who we feel is due for a massive outburst. The Bills are not good against the run and as this is a very winnable game for the 3-1 Rams, we expect them to feed the ball to their main offensive weapon early and often. The potential for 100+ rushing yards and multiple scores is high.

Running Back: We are already dead-set on our second RB. Terrence West ($6,400) will be the lead back for the Ravens Week 5, with Justin Forsett cut loose (again) and the team bringing rookie Kenneth Dixon along slowly. Buck Allen will see some work, but West should touch the ball at least 20 times against a Redskin defense that has given up the third-most fantasy points to RBs. They simply can't stop the run. West is one of our favorite DFS plays of the week. He may fly under a lot of folks' radars and if he hits huge, this could make us some money.

Tight End: Absolutely love Zach Miller ($5,400) this week. Why he is $1-2k cheaper than the top options this week is baffling. The Colts are only average at stopping opposing TEs, and both starting Bear WRs (Eddie Royal and Alshon Jeffery) are listed as questionable. So too is Miller, but his rib injury isn't keeping him out of this contest. We expect the veteran QB Brian Hoyer to target his safety blanket a ton come Sunday.

QB/WR Stack: We are going with the "follow the points" method here. The SDC/OAK game is the only over/under that tops 50 points this weekend, and as with most AFC West games, it should definitely be a shootout as neither defense will be able to stop the opponent's offense. That said, we are going to side with the home team here, especially when that team's #1 WR will likely have low usage this week. Amari Cooper ($7,200) has gotten off to a rough start, and yet is still listed amongst the second tier of WR prices. Guess that makes sense. We are willing to pay that amount, especially when his QB, Derek Carr ($8,100), is $1k cheaper than the #1 option this week. Spending that much on QB makes us twitch a little bit but we love this stack this week.

Wide Receiver: Look, the Charger defensive backfield is an absolute mess. They are down to third-stringers. The Raider WRs are going to have a field day. With that said, we are comfortable "double-stacking" with the Raider this week and will plug Michael Crabtree ($6,900) in at our 2nd WR spot. This leaves us with $9,500 to do as we please with our last WR slot.

Wide Receiver: Absolutely love A.J. Green this week, but with Dallas fairly stout against opposing #1's and with Tyler Eifert due back, we are going to ease away slowly. Instead we are going to go with the polarizing Odell Beckham, Jr. ($8,500). Only two other defenses have allowed more fantasy love to WRs than the Packers, and with all the drama surrounding him the past couple of weeks, we think his usage could be lower than it should. If there's a game he pulls it together and goes off, this could be it.

Value Engineering: Despite having $1,000 left over, we are going to hold on upgrading DEF and PK. We initially picked those selections for a reason and will stick by them. Plus, they will give us a tremendous GPP advantage especially in a single-entry contest of this size.

QB - Carr ($8,100)
RB - Gurley ($7,600)
RB - West ($6,400)
WR - Beckham, Jr. ($8,500)
WR - Cooper ($7,200)
WR - Crabtree ($6,900)
TE - Miller ($5,400)
